Married to Paul Busick for almost 30 years. One son, Tom, age 24. 

Profession: After graduate school at Purdue, I started in IT as a COBOL programmer with Hewlett-Packard. I worked my way up the management ladder and stayed with HP for 10 years.  I then devolved into a Management Conslutant (yes, Conslutant -- "when you're on your back the meter's running.") for a small firm in the Washington, DC area. My specialties became Data Modeling, Process Engineering, Strategic Planing, group Facilitation and Goddess of Buzz Words du jour. I am currently semi-retired (and semi-divorced) and living in eastern NC, very close to Darwin's Waiting Room. 

Personal: A lot of years were devoted to my career, moving around to promote my husband's Coast Guard career, and raising Tom. In the last 15 years I have taken up golf, duplicate bridge, knitting, polymer clay, and jewelry making. I also love to paint on silk and have recently learned to paint with watercolors. I stay involved with St. Mary's Episcopal Church and have served on various boards in our community. I am learning to play the hammered dulcimer and hope to learn to play the Hurdy Gurdy if I can ever get the darned thing tuned. (Wait, it's supposed to sound like bagpipes, so maybe the tortured cat noise is what I'm supposed to hear?!?) When I find time, I plan to learn to weld and play the banjo -- not necessarily at the same time. I hope to go on a mission trip to India in October.
