William
'Bill' Pollom, 60, of Danville, passed away Tuesday May 5, 2015 at his
home, following a four year battle with brain cancer. He is survived by
his wife of 37 years Marti. He was born February 15, 1955 in Valdosta,
Georgia to the late Robert Pollom and Ester McClamroch Davis.
Bill was Senior Vice- President at Farmers National Bank in Danville,
active in the Heart of Danville (where he had served as President),
Rotary Club of Danville, SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and…
the local chapter of United Way.
Also surviving two sons John Pollom (Sarabeth) of Lexington, and Sam
Pollom (Sarah) of Louisville; a daughter Sarah Hill(Todd) of Louisville;
a brother Robert 'Bob' Pollom (Stephanie) of Texas; a sister Roberta
Murphy (Ken) of Florida; and four grandchildren Will Pollom, Charlie
Pollom, Lucas Hill, and Claire Hill.
Funeral services 1 PM Friday May 8, 2015 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic
Church with Fr. Tom Farrell officiating. Visitation will be held at the
church Thursday from 5-7 PM. Burial in Bellevue Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Sam Pollom, John Pollom, Robert Pollom, Bob Pollom,
Todd Hill, Larry Murphy, Tom Baeker, and Ken Medaris.
