Posted 5/3/2018 Still flying for a living after over forty years since Air Force Pilot Training. Currently, I fly from the east coast to major European cities as a Check Captain (I'm basically a Drivers Ed teacher in the jet and simulators). I intend fly for two more years and then other adventures await. Still married to the same girl (Nancy Shafer Vendley) after nearly 39 years. Nancy is a busy bee and having lots of fun as a real estate agent. Our son Rob left the Army last year after tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. Rob just finished his first year of the full-time MBA program at the University of Georgia. Our daughter Katherine has just finished her Masters of Nurse Anesthesia at the University of South Carolina. Katherine has accepted a position at a hospital near Columbia, SC. Every day is a gift so play hard while you can!
