My husband Jose and I just celebrated thirty years together.  We have a daughter Angela, 24, and a son Mario, 23.  We have lived in the heart of San Francisco the last 34 years, and we love it.

I have been a midwife for the past 28 years.  It is my passion.   I decided to become a midwife when I was a sophomore at WLHS, and it’s a good thing I love my work, because it takes a lot of time and energy.  I am an Associate Professor at the University of California San Francisco’s School of Medicine;  part of my work is educating new midwives.  My clinical work is at San Francisco General Hospital, mostly with low income immigrant women who teach me every day how resilient the human spirit can be.

I love to read, walk, and enjoy the natural beauty of Northern California.  I count my blessings.

I am sorry to miss the reunion—I know it will be a blast.

Fond regards to all!
