Children:  Jason Vest (35), Juliana Brost (33), Aaron Vest (31), Shawn Vest (29), and Sarah Lemay (23).   Also four step-children: Scott Gerlach, Eric Gerlach, Heidi Martinez, and Ken Gerlach.  26 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild between the nine children.  

I find myself unexpectedly a Coloradoan, having been remarried for approximately five years.  Instead of cornfields, soybean fields, and big city life I am enjoying canyons, white water, cottonwood trees and snowy peaks outside of the little college town much like West Lafayette.  In addition to raising five children, I have enjoyed working in the medical and clerical areas, serving 10 years at Butler as an administrative assistant.  I am currently employed in a doctor's office.

I enjoy a busy life as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, love crafting and creating and meeting all kinds of different folks - learning their stories.  The title Grandma is just the spice of life.  In our household, it is always someone's birthday coming or going.  Reading, water aerobics, and exploring the mountains for surprises also entertains me.

I will be dropping by home for a 90th birthday party for my dad just a few weeks later than this get together, otherwise would have loved to be there.

Children: Jason (25), Juliana (24), Aaron (21), Shawn (19), Sarah (13) I was able to spend time as a stay-at-home mom when my children were very young. I worked for 12 years as a self-employed medical transcriptionist. I am now employed at Butler University as the Academic Affairs Coordinator in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. I enjoy doing church work, sewing, reading and gardening, but I most enjoy spending time with my grown children and granddaughter.
