Posted 2013

Spouse: Dr. Richard Ress

Children: identical twin boys Spencer and Trevor Ress 15 years old

Profession:

Worked in the retail buying/product development industry since college and laid off last year.  I was a senior manager in sourcing and production for a ladies catalog Appleseeds and traveled overseas regularly to oversee and negotiate the ladies clothing.  I have spent the last year trying to figure out what the options are.  I think project management may be an option but open to anything.  I think it would be too hard for me to just be a mother and wife because I have always worked!  Basically since 'detasseling' corn in my early childhood.  Any ideas/suggestions send them my way.  Can find me on Linked In.

Personal: my career did take up a lot of my time but my focus now are my twins who will start 10th grade (yes I think I took the prize in the class for having the youngest kids--they are NOT my grandkids!)  The boys and our lives revolve around basketball and baseball.  In addition because we live in the tough education surrounding of Boston the school requires tutoring every night.  Being a true Hoosier, I am happy that they play basketball year round for several years and take them to the best camps over the summer.  We are targeting Boston University for them because my husband works for BU with that wonderful tuition remission when BU is $60,000 a year!

I was a career person who got married late in life to Rick who is a wonderful guy from New Jersey educated at Princeton/Columbia and a cardiologist.  He is and has been in the middle of this managed care nightmare that started in Massachusetts.  Very sad because many doctors have quit now with all the regulation and paperwork. He works many hours so I am living my "dream life"  of running the household catering to two teenage boys!

I still love to travel and keep in contact with my friends that I have made from Indiana and later.  Good friendships and keeping in touch is very rewarding. I still run 6 miles a day year round, garden and read the Wall St. Journal cover to cover.

I am looking forward to seeing all again and hearing from others who cannot attend.

Thank you.
